The wonderful South-West Open Youth Orchestra - the UK's only disabled-led orchestra for young musicians - perform 'Silver Rose' with Lydbrook Band and the University of the West of England Singers, conductor Ian Holmes. This was SWOYO's first ever performance
Rehearsals and performance, which took place at Bristol Cathedral earlier this year, were filmed over two days by Tigress Productions for BBC The One Show - and the four minute feature focuses on two of the members, Bradley and Ashleigh.
This new version of 'Silver Rose' was made possible by a UWE Public Engagement and Outreach Award (2015-2016).

'Landscapes' and 'Shadow cast by the sun' from 'Rhythm of Light', recorded by Hepworth Band and conducted by Ryan Watkins, will be broadcast on Radio 3 Sunday 29 June. 'Rhythm of Light' was commissioned in 2021 to celebrate the life and work of sculptor Barbara Hepworth.
