A wonderful lockdown opportunity to engage with my friends at Lydbrook Band to create this new work, River of Time.
Commissioned for the Wye Valley Festival, this was a very immersive composition in which I spent 20 hours (mainly by Zoom) talking to members of the band to find out their perspectives on time. They also shared musical notes, ideas and concepts which I incorporated into the music. Written entirely for rehearsal and performance online, I was able to be involved in the entire creative process from conception to completion. The audio was done by my good friend Lukas from the University of the West of England and animation by my cousin Gary Andrews.
