Mbale Youth Brass Band

The Mbale Youth Brass Band, run by the FDNC (Foundation for the Development of Needy Communities) is Uganda's only brass band.  In 2005 they embarked on a UK tour and performed a fanfare I wrote especially for them; their concerts were amazing - incredibly energetic and upbeat, playing everything from memory (most don't read music at the moment) and combined with a mix of drumming and dancing.  The charity UGive2Uganda are currently raising funds to set up a music school and Uganda's first youth orchestra.

The Ciaccona Quartet provide music for corporate functions, weddings and civil partnerships.  I collaborate with them as their in-house composer and arranger to provide music outside of the extensive and varied string quartet repertoire which they already offer, giving clients the opportunity to add something unique to their event such as a specially composed new piece or a favourite song arranged for string quartet.
